Scan Unlimited launched in 2017, joined Carbon6 in 2022, and became part of SPS Commerce when SPS acquired Carbon6 in early 2025. The product still operates under its own brand at scanunlimited.com.
Is Scan Unlimited free?
There is a free tier, limited to one file upload per month with a 10,000-product cap per file. The paid plan is $70 a month, with two months free on annual billing.
What is the cheapest Scan Unlimited alternative?
It depends on the scan volume you need. Several tools in this space advertise a low entry price but put meaningful scan volume on a higher tier, so compare the price of the plan you would actually use, not the headline number. At the time of writing, Analyzer.tools' Web plan is $49 a month with $15 two-day passes for occasional use, and Tactical Arbitrage comes inside the $69 a month Seller 365 bundle, which is the only way to get it now.

When Scan Unlimited Is Still the Right Call
Before you switch, be honest about whether you need to. Scan Unlimited still has a genuinely free tier, one file a month at up to 10,000 products, which is enough to test a single supplier before you commit to anything. The $70 plan covers unlimited uploads at up to 100,000 products per file, and annual billing knocks two months off. The scan engine itself is established and predictable. If those things fit your workflow and $70 a month works for your numbers, switching buys you setup time and not much else.
What Switching Actually Costs You
Very little, as it turns out. Price list scanners have almost no lock-in. You upload fresh supplier lists every time you scan, so there is nothing to migrate. If you have old scan exports you want to keep, download them before you cancel, and that is the whole moving process.
Analyzer.tools: The Closest Like-for-Like Replacement

If you want the same job done with fewer surprises, Analyzer.tools is the most direct swap. It does one thing, scanning wholesale lists against Amazon, and does not try to be a suite.
What you gain over Scan Unlimited:
The Web plan is $49 a month against Scan Unlimited's $70, and the scanning features that matter, bulk spreadsheet scan, estimated sales, and eligibility checks, all sit on that base tier rather than the $69 Pro. Sales estimates are included in every tier, confirmed on their own feature comparison. It also runs bulk eligibility checks for up to 20,000 ASINs against your connected Amazon account, covers 11 Amazon marketplaces including Canada and Europe, and offers something nobody else here does: 2-day and 5-day passes from $15, so sporadic scanners are not forced into a subscription. One third-party test also claimed it surfaces suppressed-Buy-Box listings that Scan Unlimited excludes by default and returned more usable results from the same list. We have not run that test ourselves, so treat it as one data point, not gospel.
What you lose:
It requires a professional Amazon seller account to work at all, per their own FAQ, so it is not an option if you are still on an individual account. There is no free monthly tier, the interface is functional rather than polished, and while it covers 11 Amazon marketplaces, there is no Walmart or other channel support.
Seller Assistant: The Workflow Upgrade
Seller Assistant treats the scan as step one instead of the whole job. Its Price List Analyzer sits inside a larger sourcing platform, and there is a 14-day trial to test it.
What you gain:
The standout is eligibility checking against your own connected Amazon account across a price list, plus the steps after the scan that Scan Unlimited never touches; it remembers the supplier behind each list and lets you build the purchase order from the approved rows. Per their own materials, the Analyzer enriches each row with 70+ metrics including profit, ROI, restriction flags, and price history.
What you lose:
Watch the tier math closely, because this is the sharpest example on this page of the headline price not buying the scanner. Per their own plan documentation, the annual-only Start plan excludes the Price List Analyzer entirely, the Pro plan caps it at 3,000 products a month, a fraction of one real distributor list, and genuine wholesale volume need the Business plan, which raises the cap to 150,000 scans a month. Connecting your Amazon Seller Account is required for the eligibility checks. If all you want is a fast scan, this is more platform than you need.
Tactical Arbitrage: The Bundle Route

Here is something the older comparison articles have not caught up with: Tactical Arbitrage no longer sells on its own. As of our check in August 2026, its site states it is only available through Seller 365, a Threecolts bundle that packages it with 9 other seller apps for one $69 monthly payment.
What you gain:
The Wholesale Search inside TA still does what made it popular, upload a supplier's price list, scan it for profitable items, schedule recurring scans so a distributor's monthly price updates get caught automatically, with bundle and pack-quantity math handled. And at $69 for the whole bundle, you are paying less than Scan Unlimited's $70 and getting nine other tools alongside, which have their own page frames as the pitch.
The trade-off:
You cannot buy just the scanner. You are subscribing to a full suite whether you want one or not, and TA itself remains an OA-first platform with the steepest learning curve on this page. If you want a focused list scanner with nothing around it, this is the opposite of that.

SmartScout is a research platform that happens to include a strong UPC scanner, and that combination is the reason to consider it.
What you gain:
Upload a distributor list and get ASIN matching with profitability and sales estimates, the same core job as Scan Unlimited, available on every tier. On top of that you get brand and subcategory research that no pure scanner offers, which helps when you are deciding which distributors and brands to pursue next, not just which rows to buy.
The trade-off:
The tier math. As of August 2026, the $49 Basic plan does include the UPC Scanner, but capped at 5,000 ASINs a month, which one decent distributor price list can use up in a single scan. Realistic scanning volume starts at Essentials, $119 a month for 50,000 ASINs, and heavy scanners need Business at $299 for 100,000. So, the honest comparison point against Scan Unlimited's $70 is $119, not $49. If you only scan lists and skip the research tools, that premium is hard to justify.
Ecom Circles: The Walmart-Capable Option
Ecom Circles is the only tool here that scans against both Amazon and Walmart. As Per its own comparison pages as of August 2026, it handles UPC-based Walmart scanning, bulk supplier uploads of 20,000+ items, and offers a 10,000-scan free trial with no card required, with platform pricing spanning $27 to $297 a month depending on modules, so check which tier includes the scanner before you commit to a plan. Those are the vendor's own claims rather than something we have tested, and the scanner is one module inside a broader seller-services platform, so use the free trial to confirm the Walmart scanning fits your workflow before paying. If you sell only on Amazon, the four tools above are the shorter path.
Which One Should You Pick?
There is no single winner, only a best fit for how you work. If you want the most direct drop-in replacement for what Scan Unlimited does, go with Analyzer.tools. If you want the scan to flow into eligibility checks and purchase orders, Seller Assistant is the pick. If you want scheduled scans, or ten tools for one $69 payment, the Seller 365 bundle with Tactical Arbitrage is the route. If you want brand research alongside your scanning, SmartScout justifies its price. And if Walmart is part of your business, check whether Ecom Circles delivers what it promises. Every price and plan detail above was checked against the live vendor sites on August 13, 2026, and almost none of it matched what the popular comparison articles were saying. Tactical Arbitrage stopped selling standalone. SmartScout's prices changed twice in two months. Scan Unlimited's own site links to an extension that no longer exists. This market moves fast and old reviews stay ranked.
So whichever tool you land on, spend five minutes on its actual pricing page before you enter a card number. Check the plan you would really use, not the headline price. That habit will save you more money than picking the perfect scanner ever will.
Can any of these tools scan for Walmart?
Most are Amazon only. Ecom Circles advertises UPC-based bulk scanning for both Amazon and Walmart, with a 10,000-scan free trial to test it. The others on this page do not scan Walmart.
What is the difference between a price list scanner and reverse sourcing?
A scanner starts with a supplier's list and finds profitable products in it. Reverse sourcing starts with a product you already know sells and finds suppliers who carry it. Most wholesale sellers eventually need both directions.
